Sustainable careers fair this Wednesday
This coming Wednesday (18th of August) the ANU will be playing host to the Canberra Sustainable Careers Expo and the ♥ 40% campaign will be hosting an awareness raising stall. If you’d like to help out on the stall or just learn more about how a 40 percent target could drive Canberra’s green economy, please come and visit us on Wednesday. Similarly, if you would like a stylish ♥ 40% T-Shirt, they will be for sale on the day (alternatively you can arrange to buy a T-shirt at any time by emailing info@love40percent.org).
The expo will be held between 12 and 4pm in the Sports Hall at the ANU.
MORE WIND-Energy FOR Canberra and the ACT !
Now that the concept has been entirely ‘tested’ and is being closely monitored – albeit in the ‘most windy’ area, THERE IS NOW a ‘place’ and a time ; i e IT IS TIMELY to consider just how well an oval-ring’ of Wind Energy generators(‘windmills’) around all-the-ACT would not only OFFSET the current, historic ‘bad image’ that Canberra has in terms of its historic & continuing over-Reliance on OIL/petrochemical fuels(& coal), such that not only would TOURISM to the city/ACT be boosted by having a world-class WIND ENERGY generation system in-Place(!), but because such a grand-Scheme would help the few forward thinking Planners that we do have to start to demark the ‘rest of the ACT’ that is not (over-)populated to ‘Renewable Energy Production’ as a special Planning Category for the Future, our Future!
GetUp! and CatchUp!….or History will dictate!
